You will oversee day-to-day mortuary and bereavement operations, manage staff rotas and on-call cover, maintain records, and uphold Trust policies across external agencies and hospital departments.

Responsibilities

• deputise for the Head of Service and organise postmortem provision to ensure HTA compliance
• Oversee day-to-day mortuary and bereavement office operations to ensure a professional, cost-effective service
• Manage the bereavement supervisor, staff rotas, on-call duties, annual leave and performance reviews
• Ensure accurate recording, labelling and tracking of all organs, tissue, blood and samples and disposal records
• Maintain health and safety standards and ensure adherence to SOPs, risk assessments and audits across the department
