Job summary

The London Clinic is seeking a Molecular Imaging Technologist (Band 6) to join the Molecular Imaging & Theranostics team in central London. You will perform PET/CT and SPECT/CT imaging, prepare radiopharmaceuticals and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the diagnostic or treatment journey.

We require a BSc in Nuclear Medicine or UK recognised equivalent and at least two years post-qualification experience in Molecular Imaging.

Qualifications

• BSc in Nuclear Medicine or UK recognised equivalent required.
• At least two years post-qualification Molecular Imaging experience.
• Practical experience in Nuclear Medicine or PET/CT imaging.
• Strong knowledge of PET/CT and SPECT/CT techniques and protocols.
• Knowledge of IR(ME)R 2017, IRR17, ARSAC and IPEM guidance.
• Experience using RIS, MIM and PACS.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Calm, compassionate, patient-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Perform PET/CT and SPECT/CT procedures to support diagnosis or treatment.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely.
• Undertake venepuncture and cannulation for procedures.
• Support Molecular Radiotherapy patients with imaging and safety guidance.
• Explain procedures to patients and carers to ensure understanding.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for coordinated care.
• Complete quality assurance checks on imaging and equipment.
• Contribute to research, audits and service improvement.
