Job summary

Expedia Group is seeking a Senior Manager of Mobile Engineering to lead native iOS and Android teams, establishing architecture, roadmaps, and operational excellence. You will shape strategy across product, design, security, and operations, driving high-quality mobile experiences and AI-enabled development.

You will mentor engineers, manage capacity, and align technical initiatives with customer outcomes, impacting Expedia's mobile growth and platform reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of relevant professional experience and 3+ years of people-management experience.
• Experience owning engineering outcomes across multiple services or a mobile tech domain.
• Strong knowledge of mobile software development for iOS, Android, and shared capabilities.
• Experience shaping technical strategy, staffing, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and applying AI-enabled capabilities to mobile platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead mobile engineering teams delivering reliable, scalable native apps and shared platform capabilities.
• Set technical direction for mobile architecture, API design, data modeling, and cross-platform patterns.
• Build a high-performing engineering organization through hiring, mentoring, and career development.
• Partner with product, design, architecture, quality, operations, security, and business teams to shape roadmaps.
• Establish release and operational practices across App Store and Google Play with quality and safety.
• Safely integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions to improve mobile experiences and platforms.
