Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions have an exciting role to join a growing Air Conditioning & Mechanical Engineering specialist who is looking to expand their operation due to the acquisition of a contract and bring in a specialised commercial Senior Air Conditioning Engineer to supply this service to the existing portfolio of clients in the North West of England.

This is a mobile position with sites based in Manchester, Liverpool and Blackpool, with occasional travel to Leeds and Sheffield.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer or similar role within facilities management or FM environment.
• Minimum of 5 years in the field.
• F-Gas Cat 1 Regulations certification held.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong working knowledge of leading manufacturer systems (Daikin, Mitsubishi, Panasonic).
• Familiarity with refrigeration principles and equipment.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults.
• Excellent problem solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and troubleshoot a variety of air conditioning systems (split, VRV/VRF, chillers).
• Perform routine maintenance tasks to prolong HVAC equipment lifespan.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
• Conduct inspections and assess HVAC systems for issues and improvements.
• Collaborate with maintenance personnel and contractors for complex repairs and upgrades.
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations.
