Harrington Starr is seeking an experienced MLRO to lead its financial crime framework in the UK fintech/payments space. The role reports to the CEO and Board, with significant influence across the business and end-to-end control of the financial crime environment.

You will own AML/CTF, KYC/KYB, SARs and regulatory reporting while collaborating with cross-functional teams to embed robust, scalable controls and support regulatory engagements with the FCA.

Qualificações

• 10+ years of experience in financial services, compliance or financial crime.
• Extensive exposure to payments, e-money, fintech or banking environments.
• Proven track record as MLRO or senior financial crime leader.
• Experience securing UK EMI authorisation or contributing to EMI applications.

Responsabilidades

• Own and develop the firm’s AML/CTF and financial crime framework.
• Provide independent oversight and escalation of financial crime risk.
• Lead risk assessment, risk appetite and MI/KRIs for financial crime.
• Oversee KYC/KYB, CDD, EDD, transaction monitoring and sanctions workflows.
• Identify, investigate and report SARs.
• Develop annual MLRO plan and broader financial crime strategy.
• Report to senior management and the Board on regulatory matters.
• Act as main liaison for the FCA and regulatory reviews.
• Collaborate with Product, Tech, Ops, Risk and Commercial teams on controls.
• Contribute financial crime input into new products, markets and expansion.
• Support UK EMI authorisation program.
