Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Platform Engineer to join the ML Platform team. You will design and operate low-latency inference infrastructure, build streaming pipelines, and advance distributed training for fraud detection, personalization, and blockchain analytics.

You’ll mentor engineers and shape production-grade systems with a strong emphasis on observability and reliability. The role offers remote-first work with quarterly in-person surges, and a competitive base

Formación

• 5+ years of industry experience as a software engineer with ownership of distributed systems in production.
• Built and operated low-latency ML infrastructure processing data at scale.
• Experience mentoring engineers and improving engineering quality through reviews.
• Familiarity with ML platform components to partner with ML engineers as a platform builder.
• Ability to use AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflows.

Responsabilidades

• Own the design and reliability of ML inference infrastructure with high availability and low latency.
• Build and optimize low-latency streaming pipelines delivering fresh feature data.
• Improve distributed training infrastructure for efficient large-scale processing.
• Develop observability tooling to monitor data quality and detect degradations.
• Mentor junior engineers to raise engineering standards.
