Catapult is seeking a Senior Software Engineer based in London (hybrid) to help build the Perch camera system. You will work across platform, perception, and ML systems to improve how we collect, process, and analyze performance data at scale, spanning devices collecting real-time data to backend services and ML infrastructure.

This role suits a strong generalist with experience in high-throughput systems, computer vision, ML infrastructure, or other complex applications.

Formación

• 4+ years of software engineering experience in production systems.
• Strong skill in Python and backend engineering.
• Working knowledge of C++ or equivalent in performance-critical code.
• Experience with data-intensive, distributed, or parallel processing systems.
• Exposure to ML, ML infrastructure, signal processing, or real-time systems.
• Track record of shipping reliable software, not just prototypes.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to learn new areas.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement algorithms for 3D object tracking, segmentation, and motion recognition on embedded hardware.
• Train and iterate on ML models from dataset to deployment on edge devices.
• Help bring ML and perception systems into production with tight performance constraints.
• Build reliable application features and services used in real environments.
• Analyze production data to identify limits, issues, and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with the embedded platform team on model optimization and inference performance.
