Job summary

Clark Wood Limited is seeking an experienced Mixed Tax professional in Greater London to join our expanding tax team. This role offers close collaboration with Partners and senior colleagues on high‑level advisory work and a diverse client portfolio.

You will manage advisory projects from initial consultation to completion, developing technical expertise, client relationships and contributing to the department's growth. A CTA or equivalent qualification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong mixed tax experience spanning Corporate Tax, Personal Tax, Inheritance Tax and Trusts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex mixed tax advisory projects, working closely with Partners and senior management.
• Provide commercially focused tax advice to a varied portfolio of corporate and private clients.
• Prepare and review detailed tax advisory reports, correspondence and technical recommendations.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact throughout advisory engagements.
• Advise on the tax implications of corporate transactions, working alongside other specialist teams where required.
• Oversee the preparation and review of transaction-related documentation.
• Manage complex HMRC enquiries and provide technically robust responses.
• Support, mentor and develop junior colleagues, sharing technical knowledge and best practices.
• Take responsibility for elements of team management, including delegation, performance reviews and recruitment.
• Contribute to the continued growth of the tax department, identifying opportunities to enhance client service and develop new business.
