Job summary

The role emphasizes collaboration with safeguarding and wider maternity teams, supporting staff through complex cases and coordinating care across partners.

Qualifications

• Senior midwife with safeguarding responsibilities.
• Experience coordinating care for women with safeguarding issues.
• Collaborates with community teams, safeguarding teams and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, evidence-based care and advice to women and families.
• Work in partnership with other health care professionals and liaise with other agencies involved in maternity services, seeking advice from Safeguarding and Socially Complex Lead Midwives as required.
• Recognise vulnerability factors and their relation to risk of child abuse and neglect; support staff in complex cases.
