Avant Arte is a curated platform connecting the world’s leading artists and public arts institutions with a new generation of enthusiasts, collectors and patrons. We collaborate with the most exciting contemporary artists such as Ai Weiwei, Mickalene Thomas, Maurizio Cattelan and Jenny Holzer to create limited editions of the highest quality, from prints and sculptures to digital works.

Our global community of over 4 million collectors and art enthusiasts reflects the growing energy and curiosity of a new generation transforming how art is discovered and supported. Together with leading museums and institutions, we develop fundraising collaborations that strengthen public access to art and engage the new generation of patrons who will shape its future. Make-Ready, our North London print studio, is the largest fine art silkscreen printmaker in the world.

Our mission is to make discovering and collecting art more accessible, connecting artists, institutions and audiences in meaningful ways that expand art’s reach and impact.

OUR CULTURE

We’re a small team with really big ambitions, both for what we want to achieve and also the environment we’re building. We want to create a company that remains thoughtful as we scale and tries to be genuinely progressive in how we operate. We want people to really own what they do and be given the autonomy and freedom to make mistakes, learn, and create something meaningful.

We all work incredibly hard because we really care about what Avant Arte is here to do – we’re looking for exceptional people who are proactive, hungry to learn, and want to put their pride in our collective achievements.

We know that creating an inclusive environment that promotes and values diversity is critical if we want to build something with impact and meaning. We believe that having diversity in age, background, gender identity, race, sexual orientation, physical or mental ability, ethnicity, and perspective will make us an infinitely better company.

WHAT WE NEED

Avant Arte’s content and marketing has a reputation as among the most innovative and high‑quality of any in the art world, and is an extension of the brand's mission to make collecting art more accessible.

The Creative plays a central role in delivering and supporting this, being part of a team who create cut‑through content that tells the story of each and every artwork we release.

Core responsibilities include:
  • Creating on-brand visual and written content at the highest level of quality, to support the launch of limited edition artworks
  • Developing innovative concepts and campaign proposals for collaborations with artists and institutions
  • Writing pitches and briefs which articulate your ideas precisely and compellingly
  • Proactively leading, and contributing to, wider projects and initiatives that help keep Avant Arte’s content a reference point, connect editions with audiences in new ways and amplify the brand
  • Lead film and stills shoots, both remotely and sometimes on‑location in the UK
  • Working effectively and collaboratively with other teams across the business, from artist liaisons to our printmaking studio
  • Delivering assets and copy for website and social media, plus considered, concise and clear front‑end page builds in CMS
  • Providing content and copy support to marketing and wider business, where required
  • Using insights to guide iterative optimisations to improve your own and the wider teams output
  • Working strategically to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Collaborating with writers, photographers, videographers, editors and producers
The main skills we’re looking for are:
  • Strong and distinct creative vision
  • Refined visual acumen and aesthetic sensibility
  • Interdisciplinary creative outlook and approach
  • Concept development for internal and external pitches
  • Creative and art direction (including briefs, direction on‑set and delivery)
  • Writing and editing
  • Content strategy, including for social media
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about art and its position within wider culture
  • Ability to build web content using a front end CMS
  • Able to work quickly across multiple projects without compromising quality of precision
  • Able to work flexibly and under pressure
We think you’ll probably have:
  • At least 4‑5+ years of relevant professional experience, gained through roles in either creative agencies or relevant in‑house positions
  • A portfolio or website showcasing your best work
  • A polymathic mindset – someone who is able and excited to combine innovative, impactful visual and written content with strategic, commercially‑oriented thinking
Benefits Include:
  • Generous equity allowance
  • Enhanced pension contributions and parental leave policies
  • 25 days of holiday plus one extra company‑wide day on Kings Day (national holiday in the Netherlands which falls in April) & company closure days between Christmas and New Years
  • L&D budget of €1,000 per year per employee
  • Flexible / Hybrid working (2 days based out of our London office a week)
