Job summary

Senior QC Technician (Microbiology) is sought for a microbiology quality control laboratory. The role focuses on performing microbiological QC testing to ensure products meet quality, safety, and performance standards while supporting release processes.

Key duties include testing cultures, preparing media, and maintaining accurate SAP-based records. The candidate should have hands-on microbiology lab experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work within a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Microbiology or related Life Sciences.
• Experience working in a microbiology laboratory or quality control environment.
• Hands-on experience with microbiological techniques such as pipetting, swabbing, streaking, media preparation, and plate pouring.
• Familiarity with SAP and Microsoft Office would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological quality control testing in accordance with approved methods and specifications.
• Test culture media, reagents, and related microbiological products.
• Prepare microbiological media and laboratory materials.
• Carry out routine laboratory activities including pipetting, plate pouring, swabbing, streaking, autoclave use, and equipment checks.
• Record and maintain accurate test results and laboratory documentation, including SAP-based quality records.
• Monitor product testing schedules and communicate any delays or quality concerns.
• Support investigations into non-conformances and laboratory issues.
• Maintain laboratory standards through cleaning, waste management, consumable replenishment, and adherence to SOPs.
• Participate in daily team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
