Job summary

Intellias is seeking to engage a senior data architecture leader for a global investment management client headquartered in London. The role focuses on building federated metadata architectures, semantic layers, and knowledge graphs to enable AI-powered data discovery in regulated financial environments.

You will work with enterprise data catalogues and metadata standards, guiding client sessions, and defining how machine-derived metadata is harvested and validated by data stewards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data architecture or data platform roles.
• Understanding of metadata governance and cataloguing.
• Experience with enterprise data catalogues and data lineage standards.
• Designs federated metadata architectures and domain metadata models.
• Knowledge of semantic layers, business glossaries, and knowledge graphs.
• Strong consulting and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the federated metadata architecture and discovery layer.
• Design domain metadata models with client data owners.
• Define approach to machine-derived metadata and quality scoring.
• Design the semantic layer and knowledge graph for guided discovery.
• Act as design authority for engineering teams and ensure alignment with architecture.
• Represent the design in client governance and senior stakeholder reviews.
• Shape phased delivery plans and data-readiness prerequisites.
