Job summary

AutoSkills is seeking an experienced MET Technician for a professional accident repair centre in a modern workshop. You will handle mechanical, electrical and trim work to repair accident-damaged vehicles to manufacturer specifications, removing and refitting components and diagnosing faults with vehicle systems.

You will join a supportive team with a Monday–Friday 08:00–17:00 schedule, ongoing training and clear career progression.

Qualifications

Experience as MET Technician in an accident repair centre or bodyshop.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and trim removal/refitting.
Experience stripping and rebuilding vehicles after accident damage.
Able to diagnose faults with modern vehicle systems.
Understanding of manufacturer repair methods and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

Remove and refit mechanical, electrical and trim components on accident-damaged vehicles.
Strip and rebuild vehicles to facilitate panel repairs and structural work.
Diagnose and resolve faults identified during repairs.
Carry out repairs and component replacement involving suspension, steering and braking systems.
Identify additional damage and communicate findings to the VDA or Workshop Controller.
Work with Panel Technicians, Paint Sprayers and workshop team to maintain efficiency.
Complete post-repair checks to ensure safety and quality.
