Senior Mental Health Clinician with ADHD specialty

Verve is establishing a Clinical Advisory Board and we are seeking experienced GPs, Physiotherapists and Mental Health Therapists to support the delivery of its Primary Care, MSK and Mental Health services.

We are looking for someone that will help us develop Mental Health products that make a real difference to peoples lives with a specific focus on ADHD diagnosis and treatment.

Main duties of the job

How it works

In the context of Verves learning culture, the Clinical Advisory Boards main functions are to

  • Support the management team by being available to advise, share relevant experiences and expert knowledge which will help them to minimise the risk of blind-spots in relation to upcoming areas of focus and key developments in care
  • Support the development of and influence the Verve brand
  • There will be no regular formal Board meeting.

Your Impact on the Clinical Advisory Board

As a member of our CAB, you will:

  • Provide expert insight into ADHD diagnosis, treatment pathways, and best practice.
  • Advise our management team on key developments and potential blind spots in mental health care.
  • Shape, challenge, and enhance our evolving mental health product suite particularly our ADHD services.
  • Influence the Verve brand and help ensure our clinical model remains safe, modern, and effective.

This is nota traditional board with monthly meetings.Instead, you will contribute as needed, offering guidance, expertise, and strategic input in a highly flexible, collaborative way.

Who were looking for

A clinician who is:

  • Skilled in ADHD assessment and management (adult or child/adolescent).
  • Experienced in mental health service delivery NHS, private, or blended.
  • Passionate about improving patient experience and modernising pathways.
  • Interested in shaping and advising, rather than operational day-to-day work.
  • Confident offering expert insight that influences organisational direction.

Qualifications
  • GMC/HCPC/NMC registration; postgraduate qualification in psychiatry, psychology, or nursing; minimum 5 years senior experience in ADHD or neurodevelopmental services.
  • Prior involvement in service design, advisory panels, or governance committees.
Experience
  • Recognised experience in ADHD, neurodevelopmental disorders, or community psychiatry.
  • At least 5 years post-CCT Certificate of Completion of Training or equivalent consultant-level experience.
  • Proven involvement in ADHD assessment, formulation, and intervention frameworks.
  • Strong background in service design, audit, or NICE-compliant pathway development.
  • Experience setting up or leading ADHD services.
  • Familiarity with NICE Guidelines NG87 and Royal College of Psychiatrists ADHD practice standards.
  • Published or research experience in neurodevelopmental or behavioural health.
  • Ability to provide strategic advice on clinical quality, patient safety, and innovation in mental health.
