Real Chemistry in Manchester is seeking a Principal Medical Writer to shape high-quality medical content across therapy areas, leading writing teams and guiding client deliverables.

You will co-lead strategy with senior colleagues, mentor junior writers, and ensure accuracy while integrating AI-driven approaches. This role suits a proactive communicator with deep healthcare knowledge and leadership experience.

Formación

• Experience of medical writing at an SMW level or above.
• Experience managing medical writers and interacting regularly with clients is essential.
• Understanding of healthcare, science, medicine, and the pharmaceutical industry.
• A high level of academic achievement.
• Personable, articulate, and capable of nurturing relationships.

Responsabilidades

• Co-lead development of high-quality medical content across multiple therapy areas.
• Provide strategic input to aligned accounts and challenge client briefs.
• Co-lead AI integration into new projects under senior direction.
• Act as day-to-day medical contact for clients.
• Mentor junior writers and ensure assets meet client objectives.
• Lead development of knowledge training for junior team members.
• Coaching and mentoring to JMWs/MWS/SMWs.
• Plan to meet KPIs, timelines and budget constraints.
• Manage resources and financial oversight for accounts.
• Support strategy on new business proposals and pitches.
