Bioscript Group in the UK is seeking a Senior Medical Writer to lead high-profile medical communications, ensuring clarity and scientific accuracy for diverse audiences. You will own projects, budgets and timelines, mentoring junior colleagues and collaborating with clients and internal teams.

We value autonomous writers with MedComms experience who can manage cross-therapy content, adapt style for audiences and maintain regulatory standards in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Established medical writing experience in MedComms with leadership of projects.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage budgets/timelines.
• Experience coaching or reviewing junior colleagues.
• Strong communication skills with clients and cross-functional teams.

• Proactive, commercially aware with a collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of projects across client accounts, owning budgets, timelines and scope.
• Produce and review clear, accurate written work across therapeutic areas for diverse audiences.

• Build and maintain relationships with clients, KOLs and internal teams.

Role: Senior Medical Writer Location: UK (Hybrid / remote) About Us Established in 2005, Bioscript Group is formed from multiple, specialist businesses to support our global pharmaceutical clients; we draw on their multidisciplinary expertise to help navigate critical decisions at key points in the product lifecycle. Our scientific and strategic expertise help our clients make better decisions. We provide medical communication services, market access consulting and regulatory writing support with deep domain expertise to effectively navigate complex disease areas. The Opportunity We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Medical Writer to lead the development of clear, accurate, and engaging content that communicates complex scientific information to diverse audiences, as a key member of our Medical Communications team. This is an opportunity for an established Senior Medical Writer to take ownership of high-profile projects, mentor junior colleagues and help shape the future of our scientific communications across a range of therapeutic areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading the delivery of projects across client accounts, taking ownership of budgets, timelines and scope, and acting as a key point of contact for clients and internal teams
• Producing and reviewing clear, accurate, grammatically correct and creative written work across a variety of therapeutic areas, adapting your style for different audiences and formats
• Providing guidance, coaching and mentoring to junior colleagues, and reviewing their work to support their development
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, key opinion leaders and internal teams
• Contributing to strategic communication and publication planning in collaboration with clients and account teams
• Ensuring adherence to industry guidelines, regulatory standards and best practice, and supporting colleagues in this area
• Contributing to business development activities such as pitches, proposals and credentials presentations

About You

• Established medical writing experience within a MedComms agency, with a demonstrated track record of leading projects
• Proven ability to work autonomously, taking ownership of projects, budgets and timelines with minimal need for supervision
• Experience coaching, mentoring and/or reviewing the work of junior colleagues
• A confident communicator, comfortable building relationships with clients, key opinion leaders and cross-functional teams
• Ability to adapt your writing style across multiple therapeutic areas, audiences and formats
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with sound commercial awareness of budgets and project scope
• Enthusiasm for working in a collaborative and dynamic environment
