Senior Media Relations Executive
Tamworth
Fully office-based | Salary: Up to £37,000
Not content, not social media. Just media relations, press office and PR.
It seems surprisingly rare to find a role where you can genuinely focus on these core elements of communications, but we’ve taken on a brilliant opportunity with a global B2B organisation.
Despite incredible growth over the last decade, this privately owned, family-run business has stayed true to its roots. The owners take real pride in being involved, knowing their people and creating a business where staff genuinely matter. Don’t worry, though — they’re not the interfering type!
This is a fully office-based role, so we appreciate it won’t appeal to everyone. But if you can see past that, you’ll find a genuinely caring, ambitious business with a great reputation and plenty to shout about.
Reporting to the Group Marketing Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering media relations activity across a group of established businesses. Working closely with the wider marketing team, you’ll have the scope to influence PR strategy, build relationships with industry media and protect and enhance the organisation’s reputation.
You’ll be an experienced media relations or PR professional who enjoys combining strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery.
Experience in the construction or electrical sectors would be useful, as would knowledge of crisis communications and reputational risk management. A relevant degree in PR, journalism or communications would be advantageous, but practical experience is key.
If you’re looking for a role where media relations is genuinely at the heart of what you do — rather than one small part of a much broader content or digital marketing remit — this is well worth exploring.
You’ll be joining an established, growing international business that values its people, takes pride in what it does and offers the opportunity to make a real contribution to its reputation and communications.
