Job summary

Nextech Group is looking for a proactive Media Planner/Buyer to join a growing agency network. Based in Manchester or the Midlands, you will own channel strategy, budget allocation and supplier negotiation, shaping campaigns for national and regional brands.

You will build multi‑channel plans across TV, radio, press, OOH and digital, plan and book with media owners, and manage delivery from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Solid media planning and buying experience (agency-side preferred).
• TV planning experience is a big plus.
• Proven track record negotiating with media owners across channels.
• Confidence with media planning tools and audience data sources.
• Comfortable presenting strategy and results to clients.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills; able to turn data into a story.
• Collaborative style; able to support junior planners.
• Excellent organisation and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
• Genuine interest in where media is heading and its impact for clients.
• Content creation experience would be a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Build multi-channel media strategies across TV, radio, press, OOH and digital.
• Plan and book campaigns, negotiate with media owners for best rates and value.
• Own campaign delivery from start to finish and ensure timely trafficking and optimisation.
• Provide senior planning support for Account Managers with planning data and insights.
• Analyze performance and produce post-campaign reports with clear next steps.
• Keep agency ahead on media insight, market research and rate trends.
• Build relationships with media owners, partners and internal teams.
• Support wider planning team with setup, QA and reporting.
• Oversee billing admin and help drive process improvements.
