Job summary

Cambridge Biotech, a spin-out company in Cambridge, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to accelerate proof of concept and develop hardware for a life-saving biotech device. You will use 3D CAD, preferably SOLIDWORKS, and collaborate with medical science and engineering teams.

The role targets senior candidates with mechatronics, automation or robotics experience. A degreed background with a Masters is required; startup exposure is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Requires a degreed Mechanical Engineer with a Masters.
• Experience in mechatronics, automation or robotics is essential.
• Proven CAD proficiency, ideally in SOLIDWORKS.
• Experience in Medical Devices/Biotech sectors is welcome but not required.

Responsibilities

• Accelerate proof of concept, design, develop, build and test hardware for a biotech device.
• Work on the hardware underpinnings of a life-saving biotech manufacturing device.
• Collaborate with Physicists, Scientists, Electronics and Design Engineers.
