Job summary

MBDA UK Ltd in Bolton is seeking a Senior Mechanical Test Engineer to support environmental and mechanical testing of weapon systems across development and production. You will provide technical support to Operations to ensure targets are met on time and within cost and quality.

The role requires an engineering qualification, knowledge of vibration and thermal test methods, and a proactive, collaborative approach to solve problems. On-site facilities and parking are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 4 engineering qualification or higher (Aerospace/Mechanical) or related.
• Ability to plan and organise work to meet project objectives.
• Strong verbal and written communication for test specifications and reports.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide environmental and mechanical test engineering support from concept to production readiness.
• Assist test facility introduction and ensure configuration control of equipment and facilities.
• Support ESS (Environmental Stress Screening) and mechanical tests with issue diagnosis.
• Develop proposals for test equipment investigations and process improvements.
• Collaborate with Operations to overcome technical challenges and drive improvements.
