Job summary

Robert Hurst Group Ltd is seeking an experienced project/operations lead for Cat B Fitout projects and plant replacement schemes in the Greater London area. You will oversee delivery from stage 3 on, coordinating with specialist CDP contractors, ventilation, mechanical sprinkler systems, VRF HTG/Cooling, BMS and mechanical pipework.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall management resource to direct, supervise and support all Project operations through appropriate company staff.
• Develop, plan and implement company policies and goals.
• Ensure that installation works associated with the Projects maintains compliance with all relevant standards and legislation through appropriate formal procedures.
• Plan workload and allocate specific projects and tasks.
• Prepare operational project programmes in line with main project programme and identify labour and material procurement deadlines.
• Manage the preparation of major materials and master material procurement schedules.
• Identify and check that proposed procurement dates align with programme dates to ensure materials and equipment are available on site.
• Identify sub-contract packages of work required referencing our tender offer where appropriate.
• Plan site setup arrangements and procure via Buying department the site office, workshop and storage facilities.
• Review designs, drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with obligations and standards, initiate revisions where required, and inform customer of shortfalls.
• Inspect and monitor the quality of installed works, review defect reports, ensure compliance with specs/drawings, monitor site H&S reports.
• Research and prepare reports on overall company and project performance, policies and procedures.
• Monitor project commercial performance against targets, prepare final accounts and variations for agreement with customers. Authorise sub-contract orders and major material purchases.
• Ensure H&S inspections and paperwork are maintained as per policy; implement recommendations from site visits.
• Maintain and develop existing customer contacts to sustain workload and opportunities.
