Job summary

A leading UK engineering firm is seeking a Project Engineer (Mechanical) to join their wastewater sector team in Exeter. The role involves delivering mechanical engineering for wastewater projects, ensuring technical compliance and effective collaboration with civil and electrical teams. Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical engineering within the water/wastewater industry.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working within NEC contract environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide mechanical engineering input across all project stages.
  • Support the Site Manager with mechanical installation matters.
  • Monitor site progress to ensure installations meet technical expectations.

Skills

HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical engineering
CSCS card (appropriate level)
Strong understanding of civil, mechanical, and electrical interfaces
Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills

Education

Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
