Baker Hughes in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer for Tree Systems to lead design, verification and standardization of subsea products. This hybrid role involves coordinating cross‑functional teams, delivering on complex projects, and mentoring engineers across sites.

You will own technical solutions, drive manufacturing support, and ensure robust product standards across projects and new product introductions.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven detailed design experience in subsea tree systems and equipment.
• Strong knowledge of subsea production systems and engineering principles.
• Experience using CAD tools and PLM engineering systems.
• Ability to manage complex technical workloads and priorities.
• Excellent problem-solving and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Designing and developing subsea Tree systems, including specs, interfaces, reviews, datasheets, procedures and DVPs.
• Managing engineering deliverables, allocating work packs and scheduling with Primavera.
• Establishing product line standards for consistent application across projects.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve performance, reliability and manufacturability.
• Providing technical support and troubleshooting with on‑site manufacturing teams.
• Owning technical solutions to reduce non-conformances and close manufacturing queries.
• Managing multiple engineering activities and ensuring on‑time delivery.
• Mentoring and guiding junior and remote engineers for technical excellence.

As a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer- Tree Systems - You will be accountable for the engineering design and standardization of subsea products used across subsea tree systems. You will have the Leadership and communication Skills to execute large complex projects, manage the teams deliverables and liaise with internal and external stakeholders, lead design verification and validation activities and establish robust product standards that enable consistent application across projects and new product introductions.

As a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer- Tree Systems- You will:

• Designing and developing subsea Tree systems, including specifications, interfaces, design reviews, datasheets, procedures and DVPs
• Managing Engineering deliverables, allocating work packs across the team to customer requirements and scheduling dates using Primavera Planning tools.
• Establishing and maintaining product line standards to support consistent application across projects and new product introductions
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions that enhance product performance, reliability, and manufacturability
• Providing technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing and operational issues, working closely with on-site manufacturing teams to drive continuous improvement
• Owning technical solutions to reduce repeat non-conformances and ensuring timely closure of manufacturing technical queries
• Managing multiple engineering activities and projects concurrently, ensuring on-time delivery and high-quality outputs
• Mentoring and guiding junior and remote engineers, supporting capability development and consistent technical excellence across the team

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
• Have proven detailed design experience in subsea tree systems and associated equipment.
• Have strong knowledge of subsea production systems, engineering principles, and relevant industry standards
• Have experience using CAD tools and PLM engineering systems
• Have the ability to manage complex technical workloads and multiple priorities effectively
• Have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary, team-based environment
