Job summary

A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer specialized in Static & Piping to join a major Oil & Gas project in Doha, Qatar. The candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and have at least 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 6 years in the Oil & Gas sector. The role involves leading engineering activities, ensuring compliance with project standards and schedules while mentoring junior engineers. The position offers a full-time opportunity with significant responsibilities in technical design and engineering management.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer / Professional Engineer status or equivalent is preferable.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant post-graduate experience, including 6 years in Oil & Gas.
• Experience across concept development, FEED, EPIC, providing technical support to site operations.
• Proven ability to manage time, cost, and quality in projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical design and engineering services for projects, ensuring compliance.
• Conduct mechanical engineering activities including site surveys, studies, and commissioning.
• Coordinate activities of multidiscipline engineering teams for timely delivery.
• Review and approve method statements from contractors.

Skills

Strong technical knowledge in Mechanical Engineering (Static & Piping)
