Job summary

Leonardo in Edinburgh seeks a Mechanical Engineer (Senior) to design, develop and support electro-optic products across the life cycle, from concept to production. You will apply stress and thermal analysis, perform requirements analysis, and work with Systems and Electronics engineers in a multidisciplinary team.

You'll hold or be progressing toward Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status with IMechE, possess experience in regulated environments, and be proficient in Creo, GD&T, and

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Working towards Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status
• Experience in design for regulated industries and harsh environments
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Creo)
• Experience with ERP/PDM systems (Teamcenter Unified) and GD&T
• Collaborative, cross-functional team player with strong communication
• Commitment to continuous professional development

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support electro-optic products across the lifecycle
• Perform stress and thermal analysis and requirements analysis
• Interface with internal/external customers and liaise with Systems and Electronics engineers
• Contribute to design reviews and production support
• Mentor and develop other engineers when required
