Job summary

Centrica Business Solutions seeks an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer in Salford, offering hybrid working and a full-time permanent role. You will design and integrate low-carbon mechanical building services, interact directly with clients, and oversee installation with a focus on safety and quality.

A degree in mechanical or building services engineering is required, with professional registration encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical building services design and delivery.
• Strong design and installation oversight of low-carbon technologies.
• Ability to work with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality mechanical documentation (specifications, schedules, reports).
• Carry out pipework sizing and ductwork sizing calculations.
• Size plant and equipment (pumps, boilers, heat pumps, chillers).
• Develop heating/cooling load profiles and perform thermal modelling.
