A mechanical and electrical consultancy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Woking, UK. This role involves designing HVAC and water systems for varied projects, predominantly in healthcare. Qualifications

  • Experience in defence, Ministry of Defence, data centre, or other facilities is an advantage.

Construkt RS is a long‑standing consultancy specialising in mechanical and electrical building services. With offices in London and Woking, they support projects across commercial, healthcare, and defence sectors.

The company is looking to add a Senior Mechanical Engineer to the team in Woking, Surrey. The role involves working on a range of projects nationwide, with the majority located in London and the South East.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and specify HVAC, hot and cold water systems, and above‑ground drainage for integration into overall project design.
  • Attend project meetings with clients and professional teams.
  • Review calculations produced by dynamic modelers using IES to ensure accuracy.
  • Produce drawings and specifications to client requirements.
  • Carry out condition, dilapidation, and specific surveys to support asset management and appraisal.
  • Undertake surveys and produce CAPEX reports.
  • Input into Part L and BREEAM calculations and design.
Requirements
  • Experience with healthcare projects such as operating theatres, MRI/CT scanners, and endoscopy rooms.
  • Knowledge of Health Technical Memoranda (HTMs) and Health Building Notes (HBNs).
  • Experience in defence, Ministry of Defence, data centre, or other facilities is an advantage.
  • Must be willing to travel nationwide and conduct site visits.
  • Availability to work beyond standard 9:00‑5:30 hours as required by healthcare and defence work.
