We’re seeking a talented and forward-thinking Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team at a well-established and respected engineering and manufacturing organization based in Springville, Alabama. With a strong legacy of innovation and product development excellence, our company is focused on delivering high-performance, high-reliability solutions in a fast-paced and evolving environment. This role is ideal for someone passionate about mechanical design, product lifecycle development, and hands-on collaboration with cross-functional teams in a production-oriented setting.

This position is part of our Product Engineering and Design team and is suited for an experienced engineer with 5–10 years of relevant experience. You’ll be involved in the full product development cycle—from concept and prototyping to validation testing and final implementation. The role includes hands-on exposure to manufacturing processes such as layout, forming, welding, painting, and hydraulic and electrical systems integration. You’ll also support current product lines, lead design improvements, and work closely with production and customer teams.

Responsibilities
  • Lead design, testing, and implementation efforts for new and existing mechanical components and systems.
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation including Bills of Materials, Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), and Change Notices (ECNs).
  • Work cross-functionally with production, procurement, sales, and customer support teams.
  • Identify and implement cost-reduction and process improvement initiatives.
  • Support warranty analysis and develop design solutions based on field performance feedback.
  • Help design and develop tooling and fixtures for production.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Strong foundation in mechanical design, materials science, and structural analysis.
  • Proficient with 3D CAD software—Siemens NX (training provided if needed).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and hydraulic systems is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage projects with minimal supervision and maintain a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 10–14 days/year).

This role reports directly to the Engineering Manager and offers an opportunity to make a direct and lasting impact on product development in a collaborative, innovation-driven environment.
