Key Responsibilities
  • Lead design and development of downhole drilling tools, ensuring mechanical integrity and performance standards are met
  • Conduct detailed engineering analyses, including stress and fatigue assessments, to validate design concepts
  • Collaborate with cross–functional teams to troubleshoot, test, and refine drilling equipment solutions
  • Review technical specifications and support manufacturing processes to ensure design feasibility and quality
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
  • Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards throughout all engineering activities
  • Prepare detailed reports, technical documentation, and improvement proposals for management review
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience in designing or maintaining downhole drilling tools or similar oilfield equipment
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design software, such as CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • Demonstrable understanding of materials science, stress analysis, and structural integrity in demanding environments
  • Excellent problem–solving skills and attention to detail
