VVB Engineering is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to deliver end-to-end mechanical design across large infrastructure projects in the UK. You will lead design reviews, coordinate with CAD/BIM, and ensure HSE, programme, quality and commercial requirements are met.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Engineering Council Chartered Engineer registration preferred.
• Registered with IMechE, IET, CIBSE or equivalent.
• SMSTS certification.
• CSCS card – AQP or PQP minimum.
• Full UK driving licence.

Aufgaben

• Undertake mechanical design review to ensure buildability, constructability and HSE compliance.
• Undertake full mechanical design of systems including tunnel ventilation, HVAC, pumped drainage, smoke clearance, and public health.
• Manage design registers, meeting minutes and drawing registers in line with project requirements.
• Direct liaison with CAD/BIM team to ensure correct drawing modelling and interface management.
• Attend and lead interdisciplinary design reviews (IDR/IDC).
• Liaise with manufacturers and procurement; oversee FAT/SAT and commissioning where required.
• Support maintenance teams with fault finding and site surveys for tendering and projects.
• Plan and control design, installation and T&C works with planning and commercial groups.
