Overview

Senior Mechanical Engineer – Rugby. Up to £60,000.

T2M are currently working alongside an innovative engineering business who focus on the development and reengineering of industrial machinery for a variety of sectors, to help them recruit a Senior Mechanical Engineer.

Responsibilities
  • Lead mechanical design and engineering of new machinery (including stator, rotor components and complete machines), upgrades and retrofits.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of failed machinery.
  • Complete stress analysis including finite element analysis (FEA).
  • Develop test methodologies and instructions for the dynamic testing of large machines and analyze results.
  • Produce repair instructions for failed equipment.
  • Undertake diagnostic activity on machinery prior to failure, including on-site analysis of machine condition and compilation of life assessment reports.
  • Assist with the tendering and project management teams to win new projects and provide technical oversight through to completion.
Skills and qualifications
  • Understanding of rotating machines such as motors, generators, turbines, pumps or comparable equipment is desirable.
  • Experience leading or mentoring teams and developing junior engineers.
  • Experience working within an engineering design environment is essential.
  • Familiarity with a variety of manufacturing techniques.
  • Ability to work as part of a team or independently when required.
Location and salary

This role will be based from the company's headquarters in Rugby with a salary of up to £60,000 available for the role depending on experience.
