Senior Mechanical Engineer

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a leading engineering company based in Portsmouth.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and improving highly automated manufacturing equipment.
• Taking designs from concept all the way through to implementation.
• Producing engineering calculations.
• Managing projects and problem solving.
• Creating Technical Construction Files, Technical Specifications and Reports.
• Process and Production Machines Development.
• Workshop experience in building and installation of machinery.
• New equipment maintenance.
• 2D CAD (AutoCad or Draftsight) and 3D (Solidworks) CAD and Solidworks PDM (not essential but would be beneficial).

Ideal Experience

The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent in Engineering or relatable experience. Have both a technical and practical approach, workshop experience, and creating technical specifications skills. Preparing reports or presentations and performing engineering calculations. Knowledge of 2D and 3D software is also an advantage.

Salary – 45K – 55K

Hours – Days Monday to Friday (Option to work from home 1 day per week)
