CIBSE Journal in London is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to own an established product portfolio and contribute to new development projects. This hands-on role covers product design, sustaining engineering, validation, and continuous improvement.

You will develop concepts, review CAD models, perform analyses and mentor other engineers while collaborating across engineering, manufacturing and quality teams in a hybrid London setup.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related discipline.
• Proven experience with mechanical or electromechanical products.
• Strong knowledge of materials, mechanisms, tolerancing and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent 3D CAD skills and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts, prototypes and detailed mechanical/electromechanical designs.
• Create and review 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, BOMs and specifications.
• Carrying out engineering calculations, analyses and testing.
• Support product validation, verification and design reviews.
• Driving improvements to product performance, quality, cost and manufacturability.
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to other engineers.
