Job title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Water Sector

Location: Reading

Hours: 36 hours per week (Hybrid working available)

Salary: £62,000-£65,000

A new opportunity has become available for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to take a key role within major water and wastewater programmes. This position will see you leading technically focused projects, supporting multidisciplinary design delivery, and ensuring that engineering outputs meet regulatory and performance standards.

You will contribute to the development of innovative solutions, undertake technical assurance, and provide guidance to teams across a range of assets and treatment processes.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer (Chartered or working toward chartership)
  • Strong experience in the water sector or a highly relevant process-driven environment
  • Detailed mechanical design delivery background
  • Understanding of pumps/pipe systems, sludge treatment, biogas/CHP, or process equipment
  • Experience contributing to cost and budget proposals is beneficial
