Job summary

Able Consult in Essex is seeking a Mechanical Design Lead to drive concept through manufacture, testing and commissioning on complex projects in water and energy sectors.

You will work with project managers, suppliers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure delivery of challenging engineering schemes across the UK and internationally.

This permanent on-site role offers a from £55,000 salary plus benefits and clear career progression.

Qualifications

• Degree, HNC or HND in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience within the water, energy, utilities, process or infrastructure sectors.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Inventor (or similar 3D CAD software).
• Strong knowledge of BS 8888 technical drawing standards.
• Experience producing engineering calculations, technical documentation and design risk assessments.
• Understanding of pressure vessels, pipework, structural steelwork and CE/UKCA compliance.
• FEA and Mathcad experience desirable.
