About the Role

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you ll be responsible for detailed design engineering on a range of energy and heat network projects across London. You ll work closely with the engineering and construction teams to ensure optimal design, procurement, and commissioning outcomes.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Key Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed mechanical design and analysis for heat network projects.
• Engage with suppliers and contractors through all project stages from design to commissioning.
• Produce technical reports and review project performance.
• Attend site in London periodically during the construction phase.
• Work collaboratively within a multi–disciplinary team and report to the Engineering Manager.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Experience and Qualifications

• Level 8 / Honours Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years experience as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, ideally within the energy or building services sector.
• Strong knowledge of LTHW systems and heat pump technology.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word).
• Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks is advantageous.
• Flexible, motivated, and eager to work on innovative engineering solutions.
