Job description

The Role

You’ll take responsibility for running medium‑sized projects, leading client meetings, and ensuring successful coordination of mechanical engineering services from concept to completion.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing plans, specifications, and schedules for works
• Producing reports to support design concepts and compliance with relevant standards
• Liaising with others in the design team to ensure coordination and quality
• Inspecting installations, reviewing progress, quality, and performance testing
• Supporting clients and project teams regarding operation and ongoing maintenance

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in mechanical design across multiple project types and sectors
• Strong technical knowledge of building services design and relevant industry standards
• Commercially aware and confident in a client‑facing role
• Organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities
• At least 3‑4 years’ experience within a UK consultancy environment
• Ideally chartered or working towards chartered status, with evidence of continued professional development

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent)
• Membership of a recognised industry body such as CIBSE or the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (preferred)
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, SBEM, Revit/Navisworks, IES, and BREEAM principles beneficial
