Job summary

Tetra Tech Europe is seeking a Senior Mechanical Building Services Engineer to lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services across sectors such as life sciences, defence, education, commercial and renewables. Based in Manchester with flexible hybrid working, you will take ownership from concept through to construction, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

This role requires a degree in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering, chartered status (or working towards it),

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Chartered status, or working towards it, is desirable.
• Experience delivering mechanical design within a consultancy is essential.
• Eligibility for MOD SC clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services across multiple projects.
• Oversee full lifecycle design including calculations, drawings, and site inspections.
• Mentor junior engineers and uphold technical excellence.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and manage client relationships.
• Ensure energy-efficient, sustainable design solutions.
