As a visible nursing leader, you will champion transformation, workforce development and patient experience, shaping modern perioperative services across the trust's theatres and day unit

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with NMC registration and significant perioperative experience.
• Experience in operating theatre leadership and perioperative care.
• Proven leadership and management experience in clinical settings.
• Postgraduate qualifications relevant to area of practice and leadership.
• Formal supervisory/teaching credentials or education qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing leadership for Pre-Assessment and Day Unit services across the Trust.
• Lead transformation and optimisation of perioperative pathways to improve patient experience and outcomes.
• Drive development of innovative care models to support elective recovery.
• Ensure high-quality, safe care through governance, quality improvement and risk management.
• Lead workforce planning, staff development and succession planning.
• Collaborate with surgical, anaesthetic, operational and corporate teams to improve patient flow.
• Support digital solutions and service redesign to enhance pathways.
• Monitor performance against quality, safety, activity and financial targets.
• Model compassionate leadership and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
