Job summary

Barnsley Hospital is seeking a Matron to join the CBU1 Matron Team. You will lead patient safety, experience and quality assurance across medical wards and related areas. The role requires extensive Band 7+ experience, compassionate leadership and strong communication with staff, patients and families.

The Matron will provide clinical advice, monitor resources, and support senior nursing operations to ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care.

• Extensive Band 7+ experience in nursing/leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership for wards/departments and specialist nurses.
