Job summary

Lloyd’s Register in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced engineering professional to inspect and assess marine equipment against industry standards. The role involves visiting client sites across the Humber, Yorkshire and Midlands region, delivering high-quality surveys and technical recommendations.

You will lead complex surveys, support CPD and mentoring, and ensure compliance with procedures and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to lead technically and commercially.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections, assessments, and approvals of marine equipment and installations.
• Perform independent site visits and surveys across Yorkshire and Midlands.
• Lead surveys involving high-risk or complex activities.
• Assess engineering assets through design, production, and in-service.
• Develop customer-specific cost structures and technical solutions.
• Provide specialist technical knowledge and resolve complex engineering issues.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, legislation, accreditation, and standards.
• Support knowledge sharing, mentoring and CPD.
