Kraken Technology Group Limited seeks a Senior Structural Design Engineer to lead analysis for composite and metallic marine structures. You will deliver calculations, develop and validate Nastran/Simcenter models, and support production from concept through to in-service operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in structural design and analysis of marine structures.
• Proficiency with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for composites and metals.
• Knowledge of marine standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structural calculations and analysis for marine structures.
• Develop, review, and validate finite element models and analysis outputs.
• Perform hand calculations and rule-based assessments to support structural substantiation.
• Optimise structures for strength, stiffness, weight, and manufacturability.
• Support compliance with applicable Class, Flag, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve build challenges and support engineering changes.
