Job summary

Vector Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Production & Manufacturing Engineer Team Lead near Luton to drive production and test processes, lead NPI from design to manufacture, and own work instructions and documentation.

You will collaborate with Engineering to improve manufacturability, quality and efficiency, manage ERP and shop-floor data, mentor the team and liaise with suppliers for smooth operations. The role offers a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

Experience in Manufacturing/Production engineering or NPI.
Experience with ERP systems and Lean/Six Sigma/CI.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

Own and optimise production and test processes to ensure quality, efficiency and reliability.
Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from design through to manufacture and ongoing support.
Develop and implement work instructions and manufacturing documentation using digital platforms.
Support and provide day‑to‑day leadership to the manufacturing team.
Manage ERP and Shop Floor Data Collection systems.
Work closely with Engineering to improve manufacturability, product quality and production efficiency.
Liaise with suppliers and subcontract manufacturers to ensure smooth operations.
Drive continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and training initiatives.
