Full Time

Salary: Senior QS £75,000 – £85,000; Managing QS £95,000 – £100,000.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Senior or Managing Quantity Surveyor to take a leading role in the commercial management of major construction projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a senior position where you’ll have real influence on strategy, financial control, and the mentoring of junior surveyors. You’ll work closely with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners, ensuring projects are delivered on budget while maximising value and profitability.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Leading the commercial and contractual management of projects or a portfolio of schemes
  • Managing procurement strategies, subcontractor packages, and high‑value negotiations
  • Providing leadership, guidance, and mentoring to junior and intermediate QS staff
  • Monitoring and reporting on financial performance, forecasts, and risk management
  • Chairing commercial meetings and presenting reports to directors and clients
  • Ensuring compliance with contracts, legal requirements, and company processes
  • Supporting dispute resolution and protecting commercial interests where required
What We’re Looking For
  • Degree, HND or equivalent in Quantity Surveying (Chartered MRICS)
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with progression into senior or management roles
  • Strong track record on large industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects
  • Advanced commercial awareness, negotiation, and contract management skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client‑facing skills
  • Proficiency with cost management software and reporting systems
