The Senior Manager works closely with our company's Consultants and Managers to support projects that drive positive outcomes for our clients. The Senior Manager also works directly with firm leaders to promote relationship management and client communication. They also monitor key processes, communicate with tax authorities to solve client issues, and maintain current knowledge of VAT-related topics in Europe. The senior manager demonstrates a high level of teamwork and responsibility, interacting thoughtfully with all levels of colleagues across the compliance department.
Responsibilities
- Develop a global vision of operations of all clients in compliance practice.
- Perform complex consulting research and prepare answers for clients.
- Plan, organize, allocate, and monitor the work of the team.
- Coordinate teams and promote good relationships with others.
- Train people on technical and soft skills and motivate the team.
- Lead team members to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.
- Define goals and deadlines for the team's work and determine what work needs to be done to achieve those goals.
- Bring questions to appropriate supervisors when shared by clients.
- Identify priority tasks, taking into consideration the established deadlines under coordination of the supervisors.
- Suggest solutions for situations, questions, and problems detected in the compliance tasks of the clients and know where to get confirmation on appropriateness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor / Master’s degree in Law, Management or Economics.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written). Other languages will also be valued in the recruitment process.
- Professional experience of at least 8 years in a multinational company/environment.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet navigation and research. No specific certificate or license is required.
Work Environment
- Standard indoor office environment.
- Long periods of sitting while working at computer.
- Occasional long periods of standing.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull up to 30 lbs.
- Position requires regular interaction with employees and vendors both in person and via email and telephone.
- Independent travel requirement: 5 - 10%.
