Job description

Senior Manager – Technology & Software Due Diligence in M&A

BearingPoint Capital is currently seeking a Senior Manager in the London office to drive growth through business development and lead talented teams delivering Technology related M&A projects (incl. pre-deal Tech due diligence, carve-out, PMI & value creation).

As part of BearingPoint Capital, you will have a unique opportunity to drive innovation and contribute to the success of our clients’ transactions, including leading Private Equity firms, family offices, and strategic investors.

BearingPoint Capital operates as an independent unit under BearingPoint, a leading European management and consulting company with a focus on technology. The Capital team specializes exclusively in transaction-related services, supporting Private Equity firms and Corporate clients throughout the process, from due diligence to transaction execution. The unique blend of technology, management consulting, and corporate finance positions Capital as the preferred advisor where Tech and M&A intersect. We are highly selective and work with only the best talent in the market.

BearingPoint Capital is in an expansion phase as a “start-up” within the BearingPoint group, which generated over 1 billion euros in revenue in 2024. The team has grown from 5 to 80 employees and currently has a presence in European financial centres.

Key tasks for this role will include:
  • Drive sales within the Private Equity and Corporate markets in the UK.
  • Motivate, inspire, and develop a dedicated Transaction Services team in London.
  • Drive delivery excellence within the London office and provide QA and oversight to engagements.
  • Collaborate closely with BearingPoint’s teams across Europe and further strengthen BearingPoint Capital’s presence in the UK market.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders, including clients at the CxO & Partner level, to understand their technology needs and deliver tailored solutions & advice during M&A transactions.
Desired qualifications and personal qualities:
  • Relevant education with strong academic results, preferably at the master’s level.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in a technology-driven M&A advisory role, working with Private Equity and Corporate clients.
  • Experience in leading technology due diligence, IT carve-outs, IT post-merger integration engagements and tech-related value creation initiatives.
  • Documented ability to provide high-quality advice to various stakeholders, drive sales, and contribute to growth.
  • Strong business understanding and execution capabilities.
  • A team player who can work in a collaborative culture and guide the team.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
For the right candidate, BearingPoint Capital can offer:
  • Participation in the development and execution of our growth strategy across the business.
  • An opportunity to build your client network, closely collaborating with the company’s current clients, including leading Private Equity & strategic investors, whilst winning and developing your own clients.
  • Down-to-earth colleagues, with specialist skills in various technology domains.
  • An informal and “easy to work with” culture.
  • Competitive compensation and an industry-leading bonus structure.
