Job Description
SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Senior Manager to join Group Finance on an interim basis for 6-12 months. This role will lead technical accounting analysis across the Group, supporting both ongoing matters and ad hoc strategic projects. The ideal candidate will bring Big 4 expertise and a deep understanding of IFRS, with the ability to operate independently and deliver high-quality insights in a fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead technical accounting assessments for complex and/or non-routine transactions including MA, restructurings, financing arrangements, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare and review clear, well-reasoned technical accounting papers for senior stakeholders and the Auditors.
  • Own the assessment and implementation of new accounting standards, ensuring timely and effective adoption across the Group.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for technical accounting matters, supporting Group Finance and collaborating with divisional teams.
  • Prepare and present technical accounting papers for senior stakeholders, including the Audit Committee.
  • Monitor developments in IFRS and other relevant regulations, proactively assessing their impact on the Group.
  • Support external audit processes by providing clear and well-documented technical positions.
  • Maintain and enhance Group accounting policies and technical guidance.
  • Lead or support ad hoc finance projects requiring technical accounting input.
  • Support with Group SOX controls, both operating and design.
Qualifications
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • ACA or equivalent qualification, trained in a Big 4 firm.
  • Strong post-qualification experience in technical accounting, either within Big 4 or within a listed group.
  • Expert knowledge of IFRS and its practical application in a complex group environment.
  • Experience in preparing technical papers and engaging with senior stakeholders.
