Job description

We are currently looking for a Senior Manager - Sustainability and QHS to provide strategic leadership, drive excellence and create a positive culture for sustainability, quality, health and safety across the organisation. This role can be based in either Castleford or Leicester.

About the role

On a day-to-day basis this is what you would be doing:

  • Develop and implement sustainability and QHS strategy in line with the company objectives.
  • Lead sustainability reporting and communication, including disclosures, audits and progression.
  • Plan and implement sustainability initiatives focused on energy efficiency, sustainable procurement and community engagement.
  • Support the QHS team to maintain and improve quality management systems and certifications including ISO9001, ISO45001 and ISO14001.
  • Drive strategic developments through effective leadership, cross functional collaboration, process development and technology.
Your Profile

  • Sustainability or Environmental Management qualification at degree level or above.
  • Knowledge of Quality, health and safety or relevant qualification E.g. IOSH, NEBOSH.
  • Knowledge of Climate change and the reduction of carbon footprint by scope.
  • Practical understanding of reporting and relevant certifications.
  • Energy management experience.
  • Experience in sustainability management and strategy development.
  • Strong analytical capability and the ability to analyse data and find timely solutions to problems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong decision-making skills.
