Senior Manager - Strategic Finance

Contract role

Reading | Hybrid (2 / 3 days in office)

In this role, you'll partner with stakeholders across the business and external advisors to deliver high-quality financial reporting and technical accounting outputs. You'll play a key role in shaping reporting for complex strategic initiatives-so strong communication, influencing, and project management skills are essential.

What You'll Be Doing

• Preparing and supporting the creation of detailed technical accounting papers for complex and material transactions under IFRS
• Delivering accurate, timely financial information to support strategic project reporting
• Leading and coordinating multiple workstreams across the CFO function and external advisors
• Challenging external advisors to drive efficiency and high-quality outputs
• Supporting automation, process improvement, and reporting enhancement initiatives
• Ensuring all reporting meets audit requirements and stands up to scrutiny from internal and external stakeholders

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Accountant with experience in large or listed organisations
• Deep IFRS knowledge - especially IFRS 9, IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 (UK GAAP a bonus)
• Experience in dynamic, fast-paced environments (Telco experience a plus)
• Strong understanding of reporting automation and process improvement
• Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
• Proven experience leading or contributing to complex project work and delivering credible results
• Excellent financial reporting, technical accounting, audit coordination, and financial modelling capabilities
