About the Role

To develop and lead strategic partnerships that amplify Elsevier’s reputation, influence, and commercial success in key markets. This role drives credibility and visibility for our portfolio offer to Academic Leaders, Government and Funders by identifying, nurturing, and expanding partnerships with industry influencers, associations, analyst platforms, and academic consortia. Working at the intersection of marketing, reputation, events and stakeholder engagement, this role strengthens Elsevier’s position as a trusted voice in research, analytics, and innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a partnership strategy aligned with A&G and ALF portfolio goals
  • Identify new partnership opportunities with industry bodies, ranking agencies, and influencer organisations
  • Drive co-marketing collaborations that increase awareness, credibility, and audience reach
  • Manage and grow key partner relationships (e.g., THE, QS, HERC, EARMA)
  • Serve as a single point of contact for strategic partner communications and planning
  • Establish a proactive analyst relations program in collaboration with Corporate Comms
  • Build performance frameworks to track visibility and perception shifts from partnership activity
  • Liaise with Field Marketing to activate partner-led events and joint campaigns
  • Ensure partners and analysts are aligned to Elsevier’s portfolio messaging and transformation narrative
  • Bring market intelligence and external insights into campaign and content planning
  • Plan and execute high-impact events and co-marketing programs that drive brand awareness and engagement
Requirements
  • 7–10+ years in marketing, partnership development, or external communications roles
  • Demonstrated experience working with ranking bodies, influencers, analysts, or public sector stakeholders
  • Experience building co-marketing or partnership programs with measurable outcomes
  • Strong relationship builder with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop compelling partnership value propositions
  • Skilled in project management, planning, and managing multiple partners or programs
  • Confident navigating a complex global organisation and aligning across stakeholder groups
  • Background in education, academic research, SaaS, or government-focused sectors
  • Familiarity with reputation measurement, analyst relations, or thought leadership initiatives
  • Experience working with regional field marketing, global campaigns or matrixed organization

Pay ranges for New York: $63,800 - $106,400; New York City: $66,700 - $111,200; Rochester, NY: $55,100 - $91,900.
